I'm working on some cool stuff to go on here in the near future; I can't tell you when it'll be online because frankly I have no idea. It'll be here once I've got a minute (I still have one exam to go, so I am desperately trying to relearn the entire French language in the next week for my diploma, amongst a whole bunch of other stuff), which hopefully will be soon.
Next week, I am taking a road trip down to my beloved Exeter to fulfil that particular commitment, and thence onwards to pick up our brand new touring minibus from Wiltshire, before returning home, and departing for Essex, 24 hours later. I'll probably be covering the best part of a thousand miles up and down the country over the weekend, which is pretty sick. Looking forward to that.
Of course, the reason we're hitting Essex is to rendezvous with the excellent Arthur Walwin and get cracking on our new single. I'd offer some kind of insider info about this song but there isn't a lot to give: it doesn't yet have a title, nor artwork, nor release date. It's been in the pipeline for several months now though and we've played it live a whole bunch of times so it will no doubt be familiar to some of you guys. Really looking forward to getting to record it finally.
We were due to play a show in Islington on Tuesday 24th June, although I gather that that show will have slipped through our fingers at this stage, given that we haven't heard back from the promoter since we agreed to play the show. We'll keep you posted on that if they get back to us (and put us on the bill), but Londonfolk, don't get too excited just yet. Will keep you posted on that one.
In the weeks to follow we'll have more run-up to our Shrewsbury Food Festival slot and live session for BBC Introducing, as well as all our other festival slots and hopefully some new O2 Academy shows to throw into the mix as well.
PS: Some exciting news over at the fundraising page right now! At Ed's recommendation I have applied to become an ambassador for Hope For Children for the upcoming academic year. Even if I don't land the spot, we're looking forward to continuing our partnership with HOPE well into next year. Donations to my Kilimanjaro climb for this year still being gratefully received!
