Ben and I have been away gallivanting over one particular Spanish island and its surrounding waters, leaving the troops to hold the fort for two weeks. Back home whilst we've been away, all manner of crazy things have been going on with regards to our upcoming single which I'm sure you've all heard by now, is called Oh Me, Oh My.
First off, we heard that the song had received its first radio play on BBC Introducing in Shropshire. Which was cool. Then not only did Josh and Rob inform the whole of Shropshire that our song is both "brilliant" and "superb", they also said they were going to send it straight away to both BBC Radio 1 and BBC Radio 6 Music. This is huge. This is like, really, really huge. Infinihuge. Later in the week we got an email from the Introducing team to say that Huw Stephens (you heard that right) has since listened to the track. Also huge.
Since then, the song has been played again on the Radio Shropshire show, with some more great praise, and likewise we had kind reviews when the crew of the Catlanza played the track on their ship whilst Ben and I were sailing with them. In fact I just found out that the BBC Introducing boys also played our live session version of Addictive on their show last night. Awesome.
From here then, you may be hearing us on Radio 1 or Radio 6 (remember of course that we met Chris Hawkins of Radio 6 Music just a few weeks ago, when he came down to see our show in Shrewsbury) in the near future although as yet we can only hope. In the meantime, I'm going to go and grab some more sleep and then get busy sending out Oh Me, Oh My to every single person in the world. Adios!
