Last Saturday we were at The Place in Telford to take part in a Bandslam competition. This was one of the battle-of-the-bands heats which could have ultimately led to our winning a slot at the T-Live festival this year. It was an incredible night full of great music from numerous talented bands (and copious drinking), and although we weren’t one of the two bands to go through to the next round, we felt this was one of our strongest performances to date. It just goes to show the talent we were competing with.
We want to say a huge thank you to those of you who came – it was fantastic to see a number of Fight The Dice t-shirts around the place and giving us so much support. And a massive congratulations is in order for our friends at The Rooz after they made it through to the next round. It’s always nice to see friends’ bands going places too, so be sure to check them out.
We now have our minds set on our two gigs next week, Liverpool O2 Academy on Wednesday 16th and our first headline slot at Birmingham O2 Academy on Saturday 19th April. We have some kick-ass sets ready and you may even hear a new song or two, so these are definitely not shows to miss out on. Tickets are available from the store as always.
