The decision to leave was made by Phil himself, due to his university course leaving him with little time to contribute to the band. He felt that he did not have enough to give the band because of this.
Our time with Phil has been intense and incredible and we are confident that his passion during his time with us (both on- and off-stage) will not be forgotten by any one of us. Likewise, we hope we have given Phil a lasting memory of an unforgettable experience in the forming years of our band. When he joined us, we were playing in pubs and bars to only a handful of people, and in the years since, he has been a huge part of our story as we came to play in front of thousands of people in some of the UK's favourite live venues.
Having made his decision, Phil took the time to speak with our good friend Jamie Baker, who has accepted his offer of taking his place on drums.
Jamie has played drums with us on a couple of occasions before, including for our set at the O2 Academy Bristol, and we have absolutely no doubt that his addition to the team will help to bring in a fantastic fresh take on our music.
All six of us would like to thank you for your support over the past four years. It has been incredible. And while we are saddened by Phil's decision to take his own path, we are optimistic that in the next four years we will continue on our upward trajectory.
We have no doubt Phil will continue to follow our story, and he will be more than welcome to join us wherever we go. We are sure you all support him in his future endeavours.
Thank you all.
Ben, Jack, Tom, Sam, Jamie and Phil.
