This afternoon I got a phone call from Alix at HOPE with yet more very exciting news, which I'll be able to divulge in due course. Can't wait to tell you all about that.
Meantime, please keep giving to the cause. £3,000 was our target but the more money we raise, the more money goes to help street children in Africa, some of whom I will be meeting as part of my Kilimanjaro challenge.
There are still plenty of ways you can help me raise even more money for HOPE (and please do!):
1. Donate directly to my online giving page.
2. Buy one of our beautiful A2 prints from the band (proceeds to HOPE)
3. Give at our live shows (only two left before Kili! - tickets here)
Please do keep giving, every penny of our money helps street children across the world.
In the meantime, we've just been given a big fat 'yes' to play at Oxjam in Wolverhampton on 18th October, which we've added to our upcoming shows. Some of you will already be conscious of Oxjam and the work they do (think music in aid of Oxfam) so will no doubt already recognise what these shows are about.
Our ambition with regards to Oxjam 2014 is to be the first ever band to play at three Oxjam shows in one day - in Birmingham, Wolverhampton and Shrewsbury. We're eagerly awaiting replies from Birmz and Shrews but with a hugely positive response from camp Wolves we are optimistic.
This year our charity work has become a central part of what we do, and we've already done so well. Thank you to all who've contributed to our causes. Please keep it up.
Stay tuned for great news as regards Hope For Children!
